Description
Just trying to get through another day.I recently went on a class trip to San Francisco, California. Of course, there were many homeless people around on the streets. More than I'd expected, actually.
I took some time to photograph this woman and contemplate her situation. She looked so helpless, still, and miserable. The look on her face and her posture says it all I hope.
Everyone's situation can be hard sometimes, but I can't imagine living a life on the street. At least I know that I have a bed to sleep in and food to eat.
Anyways, I wanted to capture her melancholy with this photo.

I think it needed the desaturation because the truck in the background had incredibly distracting red licence plates and trim that pulled away from the focus of the woman. There were also distracting colors behind the truck in the building and the people. It would have been nice if there was nothing behind her (no truck) but unfortunately I can't control traffic to take pretty photos
I couldn't help her or anything, I was on a school field trip and we were waiting for the bus on the other side of the street. I only had time to take maybe three pictures. I'm not in the best financial situation myself, but I wish I had given her something.
Thanks for the comments.
